Markets Rise Despite Increase In CPI

The markets rose during the midday despite a surge in consumer prices. The Dow climbed 62 points to 12,783 while Nasdaq added a fraction to 2519. S&P 500 gained 3 points to 1472. The 30-year bond rose as the yield eased to 4.849%.
