Markets Close Higher Over Strong Earnings

The markets surged to close higher over robust retail sales and strong earnings. The Dow soared 108 points to 12,720 while Nasdaq jumped 26 points to 2518. S&P 500 surged 16 points to 1468. The 30-year bond rose as the yield eased to 4.890%.
