Markets Close Lower Over Disappointing Data

Disappointing construction activity and sluggish consumer spending weighed down the markets to a lower close with the Dow dropping 58 points to 13,063. Nasdaq tumbled 32 points to 2525 while S&P 500 fell 12 points to 1482. The 30-year bond edged up as the yield eased to 4.817%.
