Markets Mixed Over Spending Data

The markets traded mixed during the midday over weak consumer spending and modest gains in construction activity. The Dow added 5 points to 13,135 while Nasdaq lost 5 points to 2552. S&P 500 gained 2 points to 1496. The 30-year bond rose as the yield eased to 4.831%.
