Markets Higher Over Earnings

Upbeat earnings lifted the markets modestly higher during the midday with the Dow rising 14 points to 13,104. Nasdaq added 5 points to 2553 while S&P 500 edged down a point to 1495. The 30-year bond eased as the yield rose to 4.871%.
