Markets Higher As Consumer Confidence Rises

Rising consumer confidence lifted the markets during the midday with the Dow climbing 20 points to 12,511 while Nasdaq gained 3 points to 2444. S&P 500 added 5 points to 1425. The 30-year bond inched up as the yield eased to 4.981%.
