Fears that a resurging economy will prompt the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates weighed down the markets at midday with the Dow falling 17 points to 12,493. Nasdaq slipped 5 points to 2426 while S&P 500 lost 3 points to 1424. The 30-year bond eased as the yield rose to 4.827%.
