Markets Close Lower Ahead Of Holiday

The markets closed lower on a light trading day ahead of the Christmas holiday with the Dow tumbling 78 points to 12,343. Nasdaq dropped 15 points to 2401 while S&P 500 lost 8 points to 1411. The 30-year bond eased as the yield rose to 4.763%.
