Markets Close Lower Despite M&A Activity

The markets closed modestly lower despite a flurry of aquisition activity with the Dow slipping 4 points to 12,441. Nasdaq lost 22 points to 2436 while S&P 500 fell 5 points to 1422. The 30-year bond inched up as the yeild eased to 4.711%.
