Markets Rise Over Manufacturing Activity Gains

An upbeat manufacturing activity report lifted the markets higher during the midday with the Dow climbing 85 points to 13,494. Nasdaq soared 22 points to 2625 while S&P 500 rose 11 points to 1514. The 30-year bond edged up as the yield eased to 5.113%.
