Markets Attempt Recovery

The markets attempted to recover from early morning losses during the midday as manufacturing activity rose. The Dow fell 34 points to 12,235 while Nasdaq dropped 9 points to 2407. S&P 500 lost 2 points to 1404. The 30-year bond eased as the yield inched up to 4.685%.
